Kitchen Window in Heirloom

Good Morning!
I'm excited to show this quilt to you.  I started it back in the early summer of 2012 but then other quilts took priority and just before Christmas I was able to finish it up and give it to my sweet sister for Christmas.  I used a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman that she published in her first book, The Practical Guide to Patchwork.

The fabric is from the Heirloom collection by Joel Dewberry....I just LOVE the colors in this quilt.  I used Kona eggplant to frame and bind the top.

You can't see my husband's feet but you can barely see his fingertips holding the quilt at the top, it looks like it's floating in mid-air to me. ha!

I can't resist a great paisley print so that's what I chose to use on the back.  My MIL quilted it for me with meandering flowers.  It's gorgeous!

I'm so happy that my sister loved it!  I know that she will keep it forever.

Great way to start the New Year, Mitzi! The colors are lovely and the design is uncluttered and elegant. Very pretty quilt!

So pretty, I love the colors. It totally does look like it's floating by itself, good quilt holding, husband!
