Carly's 1st quilt

I'm so excited that my 7 year old made her first quilt!  Her 1st grade teacher is expecting a baby boy in the Spring of 2013 and Carly wanted to make a quilt for him.  She gave it to her teacher for Christmas.  We found a layer cake of some cute fabrics and Carly chose which squares she wanted to use and put them up on the design board in the arrangement she wanted them sewn.  She made the top all by herself but of course I helped her by quilting it and attaching the binding.  I think she did a great job!

And just look at the precious little label she made for it!  That melts my heart.

Good job Carly - I can't wait to see what you sew this year!

Yay Carly, you did a beautiful job!! My little is learning to sew, isn't it the greatest feeling to share the sewing love with her!?

Can I say she is talented? Takes it all from her grandma'ma....Ha Ha... Had to say it so Mizi can say" What about me the momma?" Great job encouraging and teaching both girls.....Way to go Carly and Mitzi!
