I had a great time sewing on Saturday morning, and my little helper was right there by my side.
I have a jar that I put my scraps in and my girls love to get the scraps out and put them on the design wall and design their own quilts or whatever they have in mind. Saturday my youngest wanted to make a quilt book. She picked out several scraps that were the same size and had me sew them together. Then she got her pencil and scissors and went to town.
When she finished her quilt book she crawled under the table and tried to tickle my toes while I was sewing. Little booger.
Then she found her Bible and read her stories to me. She had a very interesting take on some of them. It was nice to hear that she is actually listening to us when we teach her though.
It was really nice to have her working on her little project in the same room with me. So precious.

Wow. Sigh...sounds like you had a quiet and serene little morning. I have to wait until mine are in bed. I've been yelling this morning because Thing 1 doesn't want to wait until Thing 2 gets out of the bathroom to restart the program they were watching. I'm jealous!
love, love, LOVE. I can only hope by the time SK gets to that age she'll think it's fun hanging out with me too!
That is so PRECIOUS! So glad you photo-documented this. In 10 years from now it will be even more priceless. I wish I still had little ones under my table!
Can I say how much that child tugs at my heart? Just the right mix of spirit and whim.
